Clinical question: Does fecal microbiotia transplantation (FMT) effectively treat patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile infection (CDI)? Background: Patients with initial CDI have increased rates of recurrence (15%–30%), with variable success noted in treatment of recurrent disease.
